Sega was financially in bad shape after Saturn failed in the US and then Bernie Stolar pulled the plug on it too early with so many games left in Japan. They simply couldn’t support the system against the coming of PlayStation 2, and later Xbox and Gamecube, but really, Sony’s outlandish claims of Saddam Hussein targeting his missiles with PS2s and the press’ decided excitement over Sony’s next console at the expense of Sega (and to a lesser degree Microsoft and Nintendo) helped bring it to an early end. It will of course be streamed right off a Sony Trinitron, as it should be. ![]() It’ll be messy and impromptu, but I have a rather large collection and some of the lesser known but excellent games.
